Our Enumerator Training
All our enumerators/fieldworkers are trained to understand:
- Project objectives.
- Project timelines.
- The flow of the questions.
- Any ethical, socio-political or cultural issues
that may be of significance to the project.
- The need for quality data
- Interviewing tactics.
- People skills.
- Telephone etiquette.
- Depending
on the size of the project and the complexity of questionnaire designing as
well as logistics, enumerators are trained in the following ways:
- Either they all come to one place from their
respective regions for training; or
- Trainers go to the regions to train enumerators; or
- Regional supervisors meet for training and in turn
go back to their respective regions to train their teams.
- For projects outside Namibia, the TKG Operations
Director travels to the respective countries to train and ensure that the
project is running smoothly.
